Russian Investment Chief Highlights Surge in Oil Shipments
“Facts matter — Russian oil product exports have significantly increased. Fake warmonger narratives are bad for decision-making,” Kirill Dmitriev stated on the American social platform X, responding to statistics referenced in a recent Bloomberg publication.
Figures presented show that Russia dispatched approximately 2.15 million barrels per day of petroleum products in December, marking an 11% climb compared to November and reaching the highest point since August.
The statistics also reveal a 36% boost relative to earlier intervals.
These remarks coincided with Bloomberg’s coverage noting that Russian refined fuel shipments attained a four month peak, propelled mainly by expanded diesel exports, despite persistent Western sanctions and limitations targeting the nation’s energy industry.
Since 2022, Western governments have enforced multiple sanctions and price ceilings on Russian energy sales to curtail Moscow’s income. Nevertheless, the Kremlin has strategically rerouted deliveries toward alternative destinations in Asia and other regions.
